These Segway tours fill to capacity on a regular basis and for this reason we suggest you book online or ring us to make a booking when you have a date in mind. Can I ride if I am pregnant?
No. Expectant mothers cannot participate in any Segway Tour activities for their own safety and the safety of their child.
Can I fall while riding a Segway?
Yes. While the Segway balances for you, it is still under your control and relies on you to control its direction and speed. As when driving a car or riding any moving device, care and observation of hazards is essential in order to avoid collisions with obstacles. Your ability to safely control a Segway will be assessed during training. If after an appropriate amount of training and our trainers assess that you are not safely able to control the Segway, for your own safety and that of others, you will not be able to take part in further activities.
Is there any parking?
There are 2 carparks at Blaxland Riverside Park. The one up on Jamieson St is available for whole day parking while the one at the end of Jamieson St near the Armory is a 3 hour only parking. Blaxland Riverside Park is a very popular spot for families especially on weekends and we ask you to allow plenty of travelling and parking time to arrive on time for your ride.
What if I am late and missed the ride?
You have to arrive half an hour before your ride time eg. Ride time is 11.00am you must arrive at 10.30am for pre ride orientation and training. Segway Tours Australia may at its discretion refuse participation to late arrivals without refund.
How long are the tours?
There are 3 tours to choose from. 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes and they start after pre ride orientation and training. A tour guide will be with you for the entire tour.
Can I take photos while riding a Segway?
We don’t recommend it as both hands need to be on the handle bars. At a designated location the tour leader can take photos for you or you can take photos when you come to a stop.
